Azerbaijan to create unified digital ecosystem for NGO funding

Azerbaijan will establish a unified digital ecosystem for the state funding of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Fatima Bayramli, a representative of the Agency on State Support to NGOs, said during a thematic session on digitalization and innovation in the NGO sector, Report informs.

According to Bayramli, intensive work is currently underway to develop the "State Support for Non-Governmental Organizations" information system.

She said the platform will enable the full electronic management of all processes related to state support for NGOs, including applications, evaluations, funding, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Bayramli added that the regulations governing the new information system are expected to be approved in the near future.

She also noted that the registration of grant agreements and the issuance of registration notifications will be integrated into the system after grant contracts are signed. The move is expected to eliminate paper-based documentation for registration notifications.

In addition, Bayramli said artificial intelligence tools, including plagiarism detection software and facial recognition applications, have significantly accelerated the project evaluation process.
