Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan launch first joint grant competition for NGOs

Azerbaijan's Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations and Uzbekistan's Public Fund for the Support of Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis have announced their first joint grant competition for NGOs.

According to Azerbaijan's State Support Agency for NGOs, cited by Report, the application process officially opened today.

Applications from Azerbaijani NGOs will be accepted by Azerbaijan's State Support Agency for NGOs, while applications from Uzbek NGOs will be processed by Uzbekistan's Public Fund for the Support of Civil Society Institutions.

Under the program, Azerbaijani NGOs will be required to implement their projects in Uzbekistan, while Uzbek NGOs will carry out their projects in Azerbaijan.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 30. Once the application period closes, the submitted documents and project proposals will undergo an evaluation and review process.
