Azer Allahveranov: NGOs need a systematic approach to using digital platforms

A systematic approach is needed to the use of digital platforms in the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector, Azer Allahveranov, a board member of the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan, a member of the Milli Majlis, and secretary-general of the NGO Platform of the Organization of Turkic States member countries, said during the thematic session titled "Digitalization and Innovation in the NGO Sector."

According to Report, he said the NGO sector is actively using various digital tools.

"Currently, elements of artificial intelligence (AI) are being used in this sector. Some AI programs even assist in preparing projects. However, it is important to use these tools only as supportive instruments," Allahveranov said.

The lawmaker added that it is necessary to study which digital platforms can be used more effectively in the NGO sector.

"In this regard, a systematic approach is required. Individual platforms can be analyzed and a successful operational model can be developed," he noted.
