Another group of former IDPs relocated to Jabrayil

In accordance with the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and within the framework of the First State Program of the Great Return to territories liberated from occupation, another group of former internally displaced persons has been relocated from the Garadagh district of Baku to the city of Jabrayil.

According to Report, this stage includes the resettlement of 44 families — a total of 166 individuals — who had previously been temporarily living in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings in various parts of the country.

Residents returning to their homeland expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support and care. They also extended their appreciation to the brave Azerbaijani Army, its soldiers and officers who liberated the lands from occupation, and wished peace to the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this cause.

Around 50,000 people currently live in Karabakh and East Zangazur. This number includes not only resettled former IDPs but also individuals working on projects in the region, as well as those fulfilling duties in local branches of various state institutions and working in the restored healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy sectors.
