Against the backdrop of increasing fires, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), is calling on citizens to strictly observe fire safety rules in the liberated territories.
According to Report, the agency notes a rise in the number of fires in forests and pastures in the region amid hot weather. At the same time, the number of local tourists and permanent residents is growing.
"Taking into account all risk factors, we urge citizens to strictly follow the rules for handling fire in the liberated territories and not to throw cigarette butts on the ground. In the event of a large fire, mines and other explosive ordnance may be triggered under high temperatures," the ANAMA statement says.
