ANAMA: Nearly 1,700 hectares of territory cleared of mines last week

A total of 25 anti-tank mines, 107 anti-personnel mines and 614 unexploded ordnance items were discovered and neutralized in Azerbaijan"s territories liberated from occupation between August 10 and 16, according to the weekly update by the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) on humanitarian demining operations in the liberated territories.

Report informs that a total of 1,700.4 hectares of territory were cleared of mines.

Demining operations were carried out by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, five private companies and one non-governmental organization.
