Ambassador: OTS is not just regional organization, but strategic center of common future

The Organization of Turkic States (OTG) is not just a regional structure, but a strategic center shaping the common future of the Turkic world, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun told a panel session organized by the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications on the occasion of the Turkic World Solidarity Day, Report informs.

The ambassador emphasized that the slogan of the Turkic educator Ismail Gasprali - "unity in language, thoughts and deeds" - continues to serve as a guide for the entire Turkic world.

"OTS covers cooperation in key areas such as energy security, digitalization and global transformation. It is a platform for expanding dialogue channels. Türkiye supports peace and stability in the Turkic region, and also stimulates the strengthening of ties between the Turkic states in the fields of media, culture and art," he noted.

According to Akgun, deepening cooperation in the field of cultural diplomacy is important not only for the internal rapprochement of the Turkic countries but also for the popularization of Turkic culture in the international arena.

"The creation of our own strong organization of the Turkic world contributes to strengthening security and achieving the common goals of the member countries," the diplomat added.
