Ali Asadov meets WB Regional Director for South Caucasus

On April 6, Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus.

It was noted at the meeting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the World Bank and that joint projects in various areas have been successfully implemented over the past period.

Economic, structural and institutional reforms in Azerbaijan, as well as measures taken to diversify the economy, develop the non-oil sector, and increase competitiveness, were discussed. The World Bank's support of Azerbaijan in these areas was praised.

The meeting focused on Azerbaijan's development priorities, the World Bank's support for the development of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2022-2026, the Bank's project portfolio, and participation in the restoration of liberated territories, as well as prospects for partnership in various fields.
