The Karabakh Missing Families public association held a rally in Geneva on August 30, 2025 - the International Day of the Disappeared.
According to Report's European bureau, the event took place in front of the symbolic monument "Broken Chair", which represents the suffering of people who became victims of all forms of armed violence, at the Place des Nations, where the European headquarters of the UN is located.
Family members of Azerbaijanis who went missing during the Karabakh events brought personal belongings and documents of those whose fate remains unknown.
The rally drew significant interest from Geneva residents, who were able to learn more about the missing persons through a special QR code.
During the peaceful demonstration, people approached the Azerbaijani families to offer support and express sympathy.
It was noted that this is the first such rally by families of missing Azerbaijanis held outside the country.
