Azerbaijani scholar Seymour Nasirov awarded Egypt's top science order

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has awarded Azerbaijani researcher and scholar Seymour Nasirov the First Class Order of "Science and Art," Report informs, citing Nasirov himself.

The prestigious award, personally presented by the president of Egypt, is granted to distinguished scientists and educators for exceptional contributions to the development and dissemination of science.

Nasirov heads the Azerbaijani diaspora in Egypt and serves as Chairman of the Egypt–Azerbaijan Friendship Society. He is also a lecturer of the Azerbaijani language at Cairo University and co-founder and co-chair of the World Union of Azerbaijani Scientists.

For over 25 years, he has conducted research on Arab sources related to Azerbaijan and authored two books profiling more than 250 Azerbaijani-origin scholars. His articles and academic-public work are frequently published and covered in Arab media.
