Tuimebayev: Turkic countries should move towards implementing joint Turkological projects

Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke of the need for practical cooperation among countries of the Turkic world, Report informs.
He made the remark at an international conference held in Baku as part of the Turkic World Week, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Turkic Congress.
He emphasized that, despite historic achievements in integration, there is a severe lack of concrete joint initiatives.
"One hundred years have passed since the First Turkic Congress, and nearly 35 years since the Turkic states gained independence, yet joint Turkic projects have yet to be implemented," the rector noted.
Tuimebayev called for a shift from declarative statements to practical steps, including the creation of working groups.
