The Azerbaijani journalists' visit to Kyrgyzstan may result not only in an exchange of information but also in joint media projects.
According to a Report correspondent in Cholpon-Ata, the remarks were made by Salkyn Sarnogoeva, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan.
"I hope that following our visit, we will not only exchange information but also implement joint media projects. Perhaps we will develop joint information resources. We are open to cooperation, ready to consider your proposals, and very much look forward to continuing to work with you," she said.
According to Sarnogoeva, holding press tours for journalists has already become a good tradition.
The initiative, implemented at the suggestion of the Kyrgyz president's press secretary, previously included Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and has now continued with a visit by representatives of the Azerbaijani media.
"Today, it's especially important to strengthen cooperation between media representatives. When disinformation, fake news, and information attacks are spreading around the world, we must be as united as possible, exchange information, and work together," the deputy minister noted.
According to her, traditional media are now operating in a new environment, where bloggers and digital platforms that facilitate the instant dissemination of information also exert significant influence on the information space.
"In these circumstances, we must be as united as possible and develop cooperation," Sarnogoeva emphasized.
