Publications on Azerbaijan's culture and history presented in Brussels

Books and publications by the IRS publishing house were presented at the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union in Brussels.

According to Report's European bureau, the event was attended by Musa Marjanli, head of the publishing house and editor-in-chief of the magazine of the same name, who visited Belgium for the presentation.

Marjanli introduced guests to books dedicated to the architecture, museums, and historical monuments of Azerbaijan's regions, with special attention given to publications about Karabakh and Shusha.

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Belgium, Vagif Sadigov, thanked the IRS team, noting that Azerbaijani diplomats actively use the publications in their work.

"The books and magazine published by IRS are devoted to Azerbaijan's history, culture, music, philosophy, and archaeology. In our daily activities, we, as diplomats, actively use these materials and are pleased to introduce them to our foreign friends and partners both in Belgium and in other countries where Azerbaijan"s diplomatic missions operate," the ambassador said.

Professor Philippe Humblé of the Free University of Brussels said he was impressed by Baku's combination of modernity and history, as well as its religious tolerance. According to him, literature helped him gain a deeper understanding of Azerbaijan, particularly novels such as Ali and Nino by Kurban Said.

Meanwhile, Antonio Buscardini, President of the Brussels Press Club Europe, shared memories of organizing press tours for foreign journalists to Azerbaijan and spoke warmly of his visit to Nakhchivan.
