Photo exhibition on Azerbaijan opens in Turkmenistan

An exhibition titled "Azerbaijan - from lens to history" has opened at the Arkadag City Museum of History and Local Lore in Turkmenistan as part of Azerbaijani Culture Days in the country.

Report's correspondent dispatched to Turkmenistan informs that the presentation was attended by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov, Turkmenistan's Deputy Minister of Culture Nursahed Shirimov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gismat Gozalov, Milli Majlis member Hikmat Babaoghlu, Secretary of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union Ilgar Fahmi, cultural figures and media representatives.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov said Azerbaijani Culture Days were organized in Turkmenistan at a high level. The deputy minister described the holding of the culture days in both Ashgabat and Arkadag as a significant event.

Turkmenistan's Deputy Minister of Culture Nursahed Shirimov, for his part, said cultural ties between the two peoples were developing and emphasized that the mutual organization of culture days serves to further strengthen relations.

Amira Suleyman, chairperson of the Azerbaijan Photographers Union, gave journalists detailed information about the photo exhibition. She noted that the exhibition reflects both Azerbaijan's modern architecture and the historical and cultural heritage, as well as restoration and reconstruction work, in the liberated territories.

The guests later viewed the exhibition.
