Osman Mert: Turkic states need common language institution

A common language institution for Turkic states is necessary, President of the Turkish Language Association Osman Mert stated at the conference within the framework of the Turkic World Week in Baku, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, Report informs.
The official noted that modern technology has reached a level where many ideas envisioned in the First Turkological Congress a century ago can now be realized: "The path to a strong Turkic world lies through a common language, shared culture, and unified Turkological understanding. For the future of the Turkic world, it is essential to build on the past and step forward together."
Mert also highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in studying Turkic heritage: "Our AI technology currently reads Ottoman texts with 95 percent accuracy. We expect to raise this to 98 percent in the near future."
