The construction of the statue of renowned philanthropist, public figure Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev has been postponed, sculptor Khanlar Akhmadov told Report.
‘We keep the bronze monument in a workshop, which will later be installed in the center of Baku, in front of ‘Icherisheher’ metro station. The delay is due to the suspension of mass events amid the coronavirus threat in the country. The exact date of erection is unknown. The construction of a pedestal hasn’t started yet,’ said Akhmadov.
On March 11, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to erect a monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
