Azerbaijani film screened in Ashgabat

A series of presentations related to Azerbaijani cinema has been held as part of Azerbaijani Culture Days in Turkmenistan.
Report informs that the feature-documentary film "Cənnət yuxusu" (Dream of Paradise) was screened at the Ashgabat Cinema.
The film was produced in 2025 by order of the Ministry of Culture in connection with the 200th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani artist Mirza Gadim Iravani (1825-1875).
The screenplay was written by Yaver Rzayev, while Elkhan Jafarov is the director.
The film, which tells the story of the life and work of Mirza Gadim Iravani, the founder of easel painting in Azerbaijani fine arts, also highlights the history and cultural heritage of the ancient city of Iravan. With historical facts and archival materials, it also sheds light on the cultural legacy of Iravan intellectuals and the deportation of Azerbaijanis from the territory of Armenia.
