A tour of the State Museum of the Cultural Center of Turkmenistan was organized for the Azerbaijani delegation and media representatives as part of Azerbaijani Culture Days in the country.

Report's correspondent dispatched to Turkmenistan informs that museum employees gave Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov, ministerial adviser Orkhan Fikratoghlu and other guests detailed information about the complex.

It was noted that the museum complex, established in 1998, includes the Museum of History of Turkmenistan, the Museum of Local Lore and the Presidential Museum.

The complex, which covers a total area of 16 hectares, was designed by an architect from Türkiye in an architectural style featuring nine domes.

It was emphasized that the museum consists of four floors, with exhibition halls located on the first and second floors.

It was also noted that the museum preserves more than 162,000 exhibits reflecting the history of Turkmenistan from ancient times to the modern era.

The exhibition features historical samples dating back to the 3rd-4th centuries BC. The museum's oldest exhibit is considered to be an archaeological find dating back to the 7th millennium BC.

Thousands of carpet samples, ancient household items, archaeological finds, ethnographic materials and exhibits reflecting the history of statehood are displayed at the complex.

The museum plays an important role in preserving the country"s history, culture and national heritage and passing them on to future generations.
