Azerbaijan showcases culinary heritage at International Gastronomy Days in Paris

Renowned French chefs visited the Azerbaijani pavilion, organized at the International Gastronomy Days in Paris near the Eiffel Tower by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France in partnership with the "Friends of Azerbaijan" Association. Among the guests were distinguished chefs Cyril Roquet-Provo and Christophe Geoffroy, president of the "World Chefs" school, along with Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva, Azerbaijani diplomats, local entrepreneurs, festival participants, and other visitors.

According to Report, the pavilion highlights the gastronomic heritage of Gabala, one of Azerbaijan"s leading destinations for food tourism. Chefs Elmar Aliyev and Rasim Najafov delighted attendees with dishes that reflect the mountain aromas and refined culinary traditions of the region. Guests sampled shah pilaf, dolma, pilaf with prunes, an assortment of pickles, and a variety of traditional sweets, including shakarbura, pakhlava, badambura, fruit preserves, and freshly brewed national tea. The display also featured local wines and other artisanal products.

Visitors praised the pakhlava and shakarbura crafted by the renowned confectionery house Happy Day Cake, and many took the opportunity to explore the deep-rooted confectionery culture of Azerbaijan.

Gabala Hospitality Group, one of the country"s largest tourism companies, is also participating in the event. The Azerbaijani pavilion will remain open to the public until September 14.

Launched in 2016, the International Gastronomy Days in Paris have grown into a global celebration of culinary excellence, bringing together pavilions from more than 60 countries and participants from nearly 120 nations.
