Italian envoy: COP29 in Baku to be successful

Italy’s G7 presidency and COP29 in Baku will be successful, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco said at an event dedicated to the Republic Day of this country, Report informs.

“This year, our countries are entrusted with great responsibility and additional opportunities for cooperation are opening up. Italy presides over the G7, and Azerbaijan presides over COP29, which we are confident will be successful,” he noted.

The ambassador added that bilateral relations between Italy and Azerbaijan are of a strategic nature.

“Relations between the countries are based on intensive political dialogue and the exchange of visits and missions at the highest level,” the Italian diplomat emphasized.
