WB may support initiatives for transition to green economy in Azerbaijan

Potential support opportunities for green economy transition initiatives between Azerbaijan and the World Bank have been discussed, according to Report.

"We held a meeting with Charles Cormier, Regional Director for Infrastructure in the Europe and Central Asia region, and Rolande Pryce, Regional Director for the South Caucasus at the World Bank. During the meeting, we expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation between the World Bank and Azerbaijan. We also reviewed the implementation status of joint projects and exchanged views on initiatives in urban development, the regional prospects of the Middle Corridor, urban mobility, renewable energy, and potential avenues of support for projects advancing the green economy transition," Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said in a post on X.
