Ukrainian Vice PM: SOCAR a reliable partner for cooperation

Kiev. 27 March. REPORT.AZ/ "Ukraine has great prospects for cooperation with Azerbaijan".

The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion told the Ukrainian bureau of Report.

"In particular, we are looking for different ways to diversify natural, liquefied gas to ensure energy security of our country. Today we have an example of cooperation with Azerbaijan on fuels and lubricants, supply of oil, its processing and sale on the territory of Ukraine. I think we have a sufficient level of infrastructure development, which can provide transportation of oil and gas. We will consider the possibility of constructing new terminals in order to consume fuel from Azerbaijan in Ukraine, because we have such an experience", V. Kistion added.

According to him, SOCAR is a reliable partner for cooperation and implementation of agreements that can be reached between the Governments of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

"Regarding the establishment of Azerbaijan's Trade House in Ukraine, I think there are no obstacles for this. I am sure that the creation of such an office is a step forward in the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations. It will improve the conditions for Azerbaijani investors to enter the Ukrainian market and promote their goods and services", Volodymyr Kistion emphasized.
