Value of Azerbaijan’s cement exports up

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan exported 609,648 tons of cement (in ready or clinker form) worth $37.74 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the value of exported products increased by 6.3%, while the volume decreased by 1.8%.
In September, 98,754 tons of cement (in ready or clinker form) worth $6.17 were exported from the country, which is 41.1% and 34% more, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
In January-September of this year, Azerbaijan exported main non-oil products worth $2.08 billion, 4.2% less compared to the same period in 2023. Cement (in ready or clinker form) accounted for 1.81% of Azerbaijan's main non-oil exports.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth about $34.5 billion with foreign countries. Nearly $19.86 billion of the trade turnover accounted for exports, while $14.64 billion accounted for imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 25%, while imports increased by 16%.
