Taiwan resumes tea exports to Azerbaijan

In the first half of the year, Azerbaijan imported 7,046 tons of black tea worth $34.7 million, which is 6.2% less in quantitative terms than in the same period last year, and 13% more in value terms, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

Azerbaijan imported 5,928 tons (-1.6%) of black tea worth $29.9 million (+18.2%) from Sri Lanka, 420.6 tons (-21.2%) worth $2.3 million (-7.8%) from Russia, 326.7 tons (-24.5%) worth $1 million (-33%) form India, 150 tons (+32%) worth $746,000 (+73.2%) from Kenya, and 105.3 tons (-70%) worth $201,000 (-68.3%) from Vietnam.

After five years and 10 months, the supply from Taiwan (province of China) was resumed. 0.15 ton of black tea worth $2,000 was imported from this country.

In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan exported 1,028 tons of black tea worth $6.1 million, which is 2 times more in quantitative terms than in the same period last year and 52% in value.

Azerbaijan exported 657.7 tons (+13 times) of black tea worth $2.9 million (+9.4 times) to Russia, 273.8 tons (-6.2%) worth $2.3 million (+1.2%) to Georgia, 59.1 tons (-42%) worth $478,000 (-41%) to Ukraine, 7.56 tons (+28%) worth $79,000 (+41%) to UAE, and 5.8 tons worth $69,000 to Poland.

After one year and three months, Poland resumed black tea imports from Azerbaijan.
