State Customs Committee: Cargo traffic through Astara remain unchanged under pandemic

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the daily volume of cargo passing through the Astara border checkpoint of the State Customs Committee (SCC) did not drop, Report informs, citing Deputy Head of the Main Department of Technological Innovations and Statistics of the Committee Azar Abasov.
"There is a slight difference in the volume of imported goods compared to the pre-pandemic period. As of January 23, 2019, import operations were carried out by 1 truck, 150 tractors, 150 trailers, that is, a total of 301 vehicles. As of January 23, 2022, import operations were performed by 2 trucks, 143 tractors, 143 trailers, that is, a total of 288 vehicles. The difference is insignificant," he said.
