Mikayil Jabbarov: President's foreign policy given new impetus to Azerbaijan's economy

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's foreign diplomacy victories have opened up new opportunities for developing the country's international economic ties, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at a plenary session of the Milli Majlis (parliament) on the 2026 budget package, Report informs.

The minister cited two key events as examples. The first was the historic agreements signed on August 8 at the Washington summit, specifically on the implementation of the Trump Route. The second was Azerbaijan's accession on November 16 as a full member to the consultative format of Central Asian heads of state.

Jabbarov noted that these achievements have strengthened Azerbaijan's attractiveness to foreign investors. The country continues to receive significant investment in the non-oil sector, including renewable energy. Joint investment funds have been established with a number of countries.
