Mikayil Jabbarov: Azerbaijan accelerates digital transformation

Azerbaijan is accelerating its digital transformation efforts, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at an event held during the Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group in Baku.

Report quotes him as saying Azerbaijan is implementing a digital agenda aimed at accelerating digital transformation, supporting the development of the startup ecosystem, expanding access for small and medium-sized businesses to digital markets, and strengthening national digital skills.

The minister added that Azerbaijan is opening a window of opportunity for long-term partnerships.

"This is facilitated by macroeconomic stability, strong financial buffers, political predictability and strategic vision, sustainable connectivity, investment-ready platforms, competitive incentives, growing non-oil sectors, and a young, adaptable workforce. Today"s discussions are an opportunity to move from simply understanding the situation to taking active steps, from recognizing Azerbaijan's investment potential to identifying concrete projects and building long-term partnerships," Jabbarov said.
