Joint communiqué of OTS competition authorities adopted in Azerbaijan's Shusha

The 3rd Meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member countries has concluded in Azerbaijan's Shusha, Report informs.

Following the meeting, the heads of relevant agencies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye signed a Joint Communiqué.

The signed document provides for the further expansion of cooperation in competition policy, strengthening the exchange of experience, and identifying common priorities for the coming period.

Following the 3rd Meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Azerbaijan's Shusha, a joint communiqué was signed, covering promising areas of cooperation among the agencies, Elnur Baghirov, chairman of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Control under the President of Azerbaijan, told journalists, Report informs.

He noted that the document reflects strategic priorities in the area of ​​competition and specific steps for further cooperation.

"Furthermore, an agreement was reached to conduct a joint industry study and establish three working groups on competition issues. The Azerbaijani side will continue to provide comprehensive support for strengthening the strategic partnership among the competition authorities of the OTS countries," Baghirov added.
