Ilham Aliyev approves amendments to Customs Code

President Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to Azerbaijan's Customs Code, Report informs.

Under the new law, importers must submit conformity certificates, declarations of conformity, and recognized foreign conformity documents for imported goods covered by adopted technical regulations and referenced standards, in accordance with the Law on Technical Regulation. These documents will be subject to verification during customs clearance.

The new requirements will apply to imported goods only after two years have passed since both the relevant technical regulations and the referenced standards have entered into force.
