The Walt Disney Company will lay off 32,000 workers in the first half of 2021 due to the coronavirus epidemic's effects, Report informs.
According to the company, Walt Disney plans to dismiss about 32,000 staffers at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, a major leisure unit, which has reduced the number of new workers because of the current situation and new business principles.
Back in late September, DPEP chief Josh d'Amaro said he intended to lay off 28,000 workers.
In general, as of October 3, about 37,000 of the company's 203,000 employees were on unpaid leave.
