Czech prime minister to visit Azerbaijan later this month

Andrej Babiš will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on April 26–27.

According to Report, the trip is part of a regional tour, with the Czech Prime Minister also scheduled to visit Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan between April 26 and 30.

He will be accompanied by Karel Havlíček, Vice PM and Minister of Industry and Trade, along with a delegation of Czech entrepreneurs. The tour will include visits to Baku, Astana, and Tashkent, with business forums, thematic seminars, and B2B/B2G networking events aimed at fostering new business contacts and expanding cooperation with local business communities.

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic in 2025 totaled $814.73 million, down 29% from 2024. In January–February 2026, trade amounted to $92.08 million, a decline of 60.8%.
