Central African Republic hopes to attract investment through participation in WUF13 in Baku

The Central African Republic (CAR) expects WUF13 to attract investment flows into its economy, Sarah Maimouna Koe, a technical officer at the CAR Ministry of Urban Planning and Housing, said during a ministerial roundtable at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, according to Report.

She emphasized the need for the country to focus on addressing water drainage issues, ensuring access to water resources, and promoting digitalization and comprehensive modernization of the national land registry.

"We are currently promoting the concept of African housing, which is created using local materials and innovative approaches to building affordable housing adapted to our climate. Our aspirations extend far beyond national borders, as the Central African Republic intends to become a platform for connecting and opening up new opportunities.

As part of the Central African Economic Community, we truly want to reaffirm our commitment to regional development and become a true benchmark. We have come here with more than just a list of needs – we have brought a concrete action plan and are asking for your support and assistance. Investing in the Central African Republic today is investing in a young, strategically important, and dynamically developing territory. This will ensure a more dignified life and improved conditions for future generations, and our citizens will gain access to better services," she stated.
