Birol Küle: Some companies violate principles of equal competition abroad

Despite the importance of attracting foreign investment, it is necessary to ensure a level playing field and uniform rules for all market participants.

According to a Report correspondent in Azerbaijan's Shusha, Birol Küle, chairman of the Turkish Competition Authority, made the remark during a panel discussion at the 3rd Meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Competition Forum.

He noted that studies by competition authorities show differences in the behavior of individual foreign companies in different markets.

"Some companies do not adhere to the same rules in other countries that they strictly observe in their home countries. This requires attention. Despite the importance of foreign investment, protecting fair competition should remain a priority," he said.
