Baku to host IsDB Group's Private Sector Forum in June

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group entities will hold the 14th Private Sector Forum, PSF 2026, in Baku on June 16-19, Report informs, citing IsDB.

The forum will be held at the Baku Convention Center by IsDB Group entities - the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) - in partnership with the IsDB Group Business Forum, THIQAH.

Organized as part of the IsDB Group Annual Meetings, the forum will take place under the high patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, with the close participation and cooperation of the Economy Ministry and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency, AZPROMO.

Held under the theme "Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity," PSF 2026 aims to strengthen the crucial role of the private sector in promoting sustainable economic growth, expanding trade and investment flows, and unlocking strategic partnership opportunities among IsDB member countries.

At a time when regional value chains and economic resilience are becoming increasingly important, the forum will serve as a key strategic platform for major stakeholders to explore new business opportunities, exchange experience, and build deeper economic integration among member countries.

In addition to promoting cross-border investment and trade ties, PSF 2026 will focus on emerging opportunities in strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy, technology, healthcare, and finance. Through high-level dialogues, B2B and B2G meetings, startup engagement programs, and knowledge-sharing sessions, the forum aims to strengthen public-private partnerships, support businesses and SMEs, and promote innovation-driven development in the economies of member countries.

The event is expected to bring together more than 1,500 participants, including senior government officials, presidents and chief executive officers of leading local and international companies, multilateral development institutions, chambers of commerce and industry, business associations, investment promotion agencies, investors, entrepreneurs, and representatives of financial institutions.

Alongside panel discussions and keynote speeches, PSF 2026 will feature a dedicated exhibition platform, giving partners an opportunity to showcase their projects, services, and investment opportunities. The forum will also host a startup competition aimed at promoting innovation and highlighting promising business ideas.

In addition, the fourth edition of the IsDB Group Excellence Awards will be presented during the event to organizations and individuals recognized for their contributions to economic development and trade facilitation.

The forum will host prominent speakers, including chief executive officers of IsDB Group entities - Dr. Khalid Khalafalla, CEO of ICIEC and acting CEO of ICD, and engineer Adeeb Yousuf Al Aama, CEO of ITFC. Together with industry leaders and experts, they will share valuable insights and best practices aimed at strengthening investment and trade cooperation among IsDB member countries.
