AZPROMO reconfirmed as WAIPA Regional Director for Central Asia

At the online meeting of the Steering Committee of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), the status of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) as Regional Director for Central Asia was once again confirmed, Report informs, citing AZPROMO.

The meeting discussed upcoming regional events and areas of activity, and also considered the possible future transformation of WAIPA from an association into an intergovernmental organization.

During the session, applications for vacant regional seats on the Steering Committee were reviewed, and as a result, AZPROMO's status as Regional Director for Central Asia was reconfirmed.

AZPROMO has been a member of WAIPA since 2010, which currently unites more than 140 member agencies from over 100 countries. The main objectives of the association are to expand cooperation among investment promotion agencies, facilitate information exchange in the field of investment attraction, and assist member organizations in developing strategies to support investments.
