Azerbaijani citizens reduce purchase of houses in Türkiye by 41%

In January-May 2023, Azerbaijani citizens bought 336 apartments (-235 apartments or 41.2%) in Türkiye, Report informs, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Despite this, Azerbaijan ranked 9th, as in the previous year.

In May alone, the number of apartments bought by Azerbaijani citizens in Türkiye was 75, which is 43 apartments or 36.4% less than in May 2022.

During 5 months, 16,779 apartents (-38%) were sold to foreign citizens in Türkiye, and 3,183 apartments (-47.2%) were sold last month.

Most of the people who bought apartments in Türkiye were Russian citizens. 5,723 apartments have been sold to them this year, and 991 in May.

The next place is occupied by Iranian citizens with 503 apartments in May and 2,324 in January-May.

Citizens of Iraq had 118 apartments in Türkiye in May and 809 apartments in 5 months.

In this list, the citizens of Ukraine are in the fourth place, and the citizens of Kazakhstan are in the fifth place.
