Azerbaijan to organize export missions and road shows to Turkey, Georgia

"Azerbaijan's Trade Representation Office in Turkey will soon be fully operational. in view of this, we want to carry out export missions to Turkey, organize road shows, investment projects in several Turkish cities, Yusif Abdullayev, acting president of the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under the Ministry of Economy, told Report.

Such plans were considered for 2021 in both Turkey and Georgia: "But for obvious reasons, we could not do it, and we think that next year we will implement it," Yusif Abdullayev said.

The Azerbaijani-Georgian-Turkish business forum was held in Baku on December 14, he said.

“The event was organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Turkish Ministry of Trade, AZPROMO, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the DEIK, Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Agency. DEIK, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia, and AZPROMO are invited to prepare a concrete action plan and make proposals and action plans to expand relations between the three countries, to report at the ministerial level more than once a year. This proposal will be an institutional one, and as a result of the forum, we can seriously assess it."

Yusif Abdullayev added that the Azerbaijani-Georgian-Turkish platform is very important: "Of course, one of the most important issues for us at all meetings is the arrival of foreign investors at the liberated territories. As President Ilham Aliyev stressed, we want to see entrepreneurs from friendly-fraternal countries in these territories. Both Georgia and Turkey are friendly and brotherly countries for us. Using a platform such as the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia business forum, we want to invite more foreign countries to the liberated territories and Azerbaijan in general."

About a thousand applications for entrepreneurship in Karabakh have been received, about 30% of which are by foreign companies, he added.
