Azerbaijan to establish agropark in Russia's Dagestan

Azerbaijan will create an agropark in the Derbent district of Russia's Republic of Dagestan.

Report informs that a cooperation agreement to this effect was signed between Azerbaijan's ISFA company and Dagestan's RBR LLC on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026.

The agreement was signed by ISFA LLC Director Samir Kheirbayov and RBR LLC Director General Ruslan Gereyev. The signing ceremony was attended by Acting Head of Dagestan Fyodor Shukin, Azerbaijan's First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Rahman Mustafayev and other officials.

According to the information, the total value of the agreement exceeds 3.4 million manats [$2 million].

Under the document, the Azerbaijani company will establish an olive orchard on 300 hectares of the agropark to be created in the Valikend area of Derbent district, a nursery on 20 hectares, a demonstration orchard with various types of fruit trees on 40 hectares, and a seed orchard and agritourism zone on 10 hectares.

The fruit trees and saplings to be used in the agropark under the project will be grown at ISFA LLC's farm located in the Yevlakh Pilot Agropark.

In addition, the next stage envisages the construction of an olive oil plant on the territory of the agropark in Derbent district.
