Azerbaijan takes part in session on facilitating cross-border paperless trade

Azerbaijan has participated in the 3rd session of the Standing Committee of the Framework Agreement on Facilitating Cross-Border Paperless Trade of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), which was held in Bangkok, Thailand, Report informs, referring to State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Fuad Aslanov, head of the Digital Management Department of the State Customs Committee, chaired the session.

During the session, opinions on technical details were exchanged and the working group's activity was reviewed. At the event, Natig Shirinov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, spoke online about the achievements of Azerbaijan in paperless trade.

At the session, the report of the standing commission was heard, and the achievements of the countries in cross-border paperless trade in 2023, and advanced practices in the application of the single-window system were shared.

Issues arising during the implementation of the articles of the framework agreement, facilitation of cross-border paperless trade, strengthening of information exchange, as well as the exchange of electronic documents were discussed.
