Azerbaijan, Switzerland explore expanding investment cooperation

Azerbaijan and Switzerland have held discussions on expanding trade and investment cooperation, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said in a post on X, Report informs.

"As part of our working visit to Switzerland, we met with Guy Parmelin, President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research. We discussed key issues on the Azerbaijan–Switzerland bilateral agenda," the minister noted.

According to Jabbarov, they emphasized that the strong ties between the two countries are built on mutual respect and trust and highlighted the broad opportunities for further developing partnership.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss expanding trade and investment cooperation, identifying new areas of engagement within the framework of the Joint Commission, and further strengthening humanitarian ties between the two countries.
