Azerbaijan sees remarkable surge in strawberry exports to UAE

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 24,746 tons of strawberries and garden strawberries (fresh) worth $27 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 47% and 20%, respectively, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During this period, Azerbaijan sold strawberries to:

- Russia: 24,432 tons (+50%) worth $26.6 million (+23% more);

- Kazakhstan: 285 tons (-42%) worth $308,000 (-54%);

- Belarus: 12.9 tons (-84%) worth $16,700 (-88%);

- Georgia: 14.4 tons (+1.4%) worth $15,000 (-12%);

- The United Arab Emirates (UAE): 1.2 tons (+2.4 times) worth $9,000 (+3 times).

In 2024, 97% of the 20,777 tons of strawberries exported from Azerbaijan went to Russia.
