Azerbaijan's trade turnover with UK surges more than fivefold

In January–June 2026, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom reached $3.62 billion, Report informs, referring to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the latest data, this represents an increase of nearly $2.961 billion, or 5.4‑fold compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan"s exports to the UK surged by 24 times to $3.48 billion, while imports from the UK fell by 3.5 times to $146.7 million.
In the first half of the year, trade with the UK accounted for 14.6% of Azerbaijan"s total foreign turnover. Exports to the UK made up 21.2% of total exports, while imports from the UK represented 1.7% of total imports.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $24.661 billion in the first half of 2026, representing a 1.1% year-on-year (YoY) increase. Of this, $16.320 billion came from exports and $8.341 billion from imports. Exports rose by 26.7% YoY, while imports dropped by 27.6% YoY.
