Azerbaijan's trade turnover with European Union countries: TOP-5

Between January and July of this year, trade transactions worth $15,482,216,000 (+0.4%) were conducted between Azerbaijan and the countries of the European Union (EU), Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

Within seven months, exports worth $13,704,253,000 (-5%)and import worth $1,777,963,000 (+34.8%) were carried out from Azerbaijan to EU countries.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations mainly with Italy, Germany, Greece, Spain, and the Czech Republic.

Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Italy amounted to $9,584,220,000, including export of $9,332,611,000, and import of $251,609,000. In the last 1 year, trade turnover and exports decreased by 1.1 times, while imports increased by 1.4 times. Exports to Italy accounted for 44.92% of Azerbaijan's total exports.

Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Germany amounted to $978,044,000 (+1.6 times), including export of $427,797,000 (+1.5 times), and import of $550,247,000 (+1.6 times).

Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Greece amounted to $956,589,000, including export of $946,237,000, and import of $10,351,000. In the last 1 year, trade turnover and exports have risen by 1.4 times, while imports have hardly changed.

Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Spain amounted to $723,342,000, including export of $654,707,000, and import of $68,634,000. In the last 1 year, trade turnover, export, and import rose 1.5 times.

Azerbaijan's trade with the Czech Republic amounted to $572,519,000, including export of $525,089,000, and import of $47,430,000. In the last 1 year, trade turnover and export increased by 1.1 times, and import by 1.5 times.
