Azerbaijan's trade surplus jumps nearly tenfold

In January–April of 2026, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $17.403 billion, marking a 2.9% increase year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.
According to the latest data, exports accounted for $11.879 billion, while imports totaled $5.525 billion of the total foreign trade. For 4 months, exports increased by 35.2% YoY, and imports fell by 32.1% YoY.
As a result, a surplus of $6.354 billion was recorded, which is 9.7 times higher year‑on‑year.
