Azerbaijan's revenues from ferrous metal exports increase by nearly 20%

In January-March 2026, Azerbaijan exported 20,265 tons of ferrous metals and products made from them worth $24.898 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
Compared with the same period last year, this is $3.993 million, or 19.1%, more in value terms and 1,822 tons, or 9.8%, more in volume terms.
During the reporting period, these products accounted for 2.8% of non-oil exports and 0.5% of Azerbaijan's total exports.
In the first three months, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $9.407 billion. This is 21.9% less than in the same period last year.
Exports accounted for $5.402 billion of foreign trade turnover, while imports stood at $4.005 billion. Year-on-year, exports decreased by 15.4%, while imports fell by 29.3%.
As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a foreign trade surplus of $1.398 billion, up 93.4% year-on-year.
