Azerbaijan's foreign trade rises 1.1% in first half of 2026

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totaled $24.66 billion during the first six months of 2026, up 1.1% compared to the same period last year, according to the State Customs Committee.
Exports accounted for $16.32 billion of the total trade volume, while imports amounted to $8.34 billion.
Compared with the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan's exports increased by 26.7%, while imports declined by 27.6%.
As a result, the country recorded a $7.98 billion trade surplus in the January–June period, nearly 5.9 times higher than a year earlier.
