Azerbaijan's exports to US up over 52%

In January–July 2026, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United States amounted to just over $521.6 million, representing a 31.4% decrease compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's exports to the US rose by 52.5% year-on-year (YoY), exceeding $64.35 million, while imports from the US fell by 36.3% YoY to $457.25 million.

Over the course of seven months, trade with the US accounted for 1.7% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover. Exports to the US made up 0.3% of total exports, while imports from the US represented 4.6% of total imports.

In total, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $29.216 billion in the first seven months of 2026, marking a 1.3% YoY increase. Of this, $19.336 billion came from exports and $9.881 billion from imports. Year‑on‑year, exports rose by 27%, while imports dropped by 27.4%.

As a result, a trade surplus of $9.455 billion was recorded during this period, which is 5.9 times higher than in the same period last year.
