Azerbaijan resumes purchase of canned olives from Portugal

In January–September of this year, 1,275 tons (+17% ) of ripe or canned olives worth $2.8 million (+23%) were imported to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan received 580 tons (-13%) worth $1.4 million (+4%) from Spain, 575 tons (+53%) worth $1.1 million (+41%) from Türkiye, 85.1 tons (+2.6 times) worth $199,000 (+2,3 times) from Greece, 19 tons (+475 times) worth $39,000 (+205 times) from Germany, and 10.45 tons worth $29,300 from Portugal.

After a break of 1 year and 9 months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply from Portugal.

Spain accounted for 59.3% of the 1,600 tons of canned olives imported to Azerbaijan (from 11 countries) in 2022, and Türkiye for 36%.
