Azerbaijan resumes import of wallpaper from France

During the first eight months of this year, Azerbaijan imported 5,411 tons (-8.6%) of wallpaper (covered with patterned and painted plastic layer) worth $17.974 million (-6.6%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

A total of 2,510 tons (+26%) worth $5.271 million were delivered from China (+26%), 845.65 tons (-26%) worth $4.079 million from Russia (-8%), 1,062 tons (-45%) worth $3,933 million (-42%) from Ukraine, 447.15 tons (+85%) worth $2.03 million (+2.1 times) from Belarus, and 237.14 tons (-14% ) worth $1.04 million (+19%) from Turkiye.

Supplies from France was resumed after a break of one year and 7 months. A total of 0.01 tons of wallpaper worth $0.49 thousand was bought from that country.
In 2021, China accounted for 38% of the 9,989 tons of wallpaper imported by Azerbaijan (15 countries), Ukraine was responsible for 30% and Russia was responsible for 18.3%.
