Azerbaijan may export pomegranates to EU countries

Baku. 18 October. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan may export pomegranates to four EU countries – Germany, France, Latvia and Poland, Secretary of Azerbaijan Pomegranate Producers and Exporters Association Shahin Hasanli told Report.
According to him, negotiations are underway and contracts are expected to be signed.
Currently, the main pomegranate importer from Azerbaijan is Russia.
The secretary also noted that pomegranate export is expected to rise by 20-25% this year compared to a year earlier.
Azerbaijan is also planning to export dates to Poland.
